Right now, power plants are allowed to dump unlimited amounts of dangerous industrial carbon pollution into our air. What can stop them? The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, or EPA, which has announced the first ever national limits on industrial carbon pollution from new power plants.
The carbon rule, which has received support from 1 million people nationwide, will reduce this pollution by 123 billion pounds annually.
Industrial carbon pollution is a major pollutant that significantly contributes to climate change and
threatens the health and safety of Americans. I’m glad to see the EPA is doing its job and cleaning up this mess.
