R. Kelly hopes to bump tainted jurors as trial grinds
There seems to be a holdup for the jury selection in the R. Kelly child pornography trial.
In light of a recent Chicago Sun-Times article surrounding the case, the attorneys and judge involved feel it’s unlikely to find unbiased jurors who can deliver a fair verdict. After the article was released, the defense is hoping for yet another delay in jury selection. -

Moms keep in touch via blog
I’m such a momma’s girl.
Although I do hold my beloved mother dear, I’m not talking about the one who allegedly spent 30 hours in labor for me.
I’m talking about the confession blog, www.postcardsfromyomomma.com.
The site features a public-run list of quips and quick hits said by contributors’ mothers.
It’s the glory and shame that is produced when parents stay linked to their children electronically. It’s precious and totally appropriate — moms can be pretty clueless.
For instance, one distanced mother writes “I realized today that I like watching the Sunday news show on ABC because they show live pictures of DC and then I know exactly what your weather is like. Have a good day!”
So simple, so relatable, such a genius blog.

This blog is a good idea, but did anyone else come off thinking the recent posts portrayed the mothers as materialistic, clueless teenagers? I know this is NOT how these people really are — I understand these are isolated notes or cheerful greetings and don’t show the whole person — but I could not help but be completely annoyed (rather than emotionally warmed) reading them. (“The Asians at Costco?” “WHATCHA DOING WHATCHA DOING WHATCHA DOING?”).
No offense to anyone’s mom who might be on the site.
