'Midweek' Big Ten update
It’s really the end of the week, but all the midweek Big Ten action is now finished as we head into the weekend’s action.
The Big Ten continues to be the only league in the country in which every teams has at least two wins and two losses in conference play.
Senior forward Draymond Green said the parity helps make the teams consistently play better.
“A lot of the conferences, when the best teams plays the worst team, you can mark it off as a win,” Green said. “You can’t do that in the Big Ten. You have to come out and play every night. A slip up one night could cost you everything.”
And here are the standings:
Three teams still sit atop the conference at 6-2: No. 3 Ohio State, No. 10 MSU and No. 22 Michigan, with Wisconsin close behind at 6-3.
Illinois is a game and a half back at 4-3.
Purdue is at .500 in league play at 4-4, with No. 17 Indiana a loss behind at 4-5.
Iowa and Minnesota are 3-5 with Nebraska coming in hot behind them at 3-6.
Northwestern and Penn State round out the conference at 2-5 and 2-7, respectively.
