New music video might be part of Friday's game
Fans at Friday’s hockey game against Michigan will want to run to the bathrooms and get in line at the concession stands before the period intermissions.
Earlier this afternoon, the MSU Hockey Twitter — posted by MSU Athletic Communications — hinted at a possible performance by Zak and the Macs. Or could it be spin-off group with current MSU players?
Here’s the tweet: “Attention Zak and the Macs fans: you won’t want to miss Friday’s game. You’d regret it FOREVER.”
For those of you that don’t remember, Zak and the Macs was comprised of former Spartans Zak McClellan, Justin Abdelkader, Michael Ratchuk, Kurk Kivisto, Dan Sturges and current senior Jay Sprague.
The lip-synching sextet performed several songs throughout the 2007-08 season — including Loverboy’s “Working for the Weekend,” Hall and Oates’ “You Make My Dreams” and Run DMC and Aerosmith’s “Walk This Way.”
I remember watching all these videos as a fan two years ago, and they didn’t disappoint.
So if intense rivalry hockey isn’t enough, you should be able to get a few laughs during Friday’s game. Or so it seems …

I just hope sports info puts the video on youtube or the website for those of us who can’t be at the game.
