Fog reigns over Spartan Stadium about 70 minutes prior to kickoff as the MSU football team prepares to face Central Michigan.

Here are some notes about today’s game:

Many Central Michigan fans made the trip to East Lansing for today’s game. Some maroon is already dotting the student section.

The Spartans will dress 101 players for this game, including junior receiver Mark Dell, who is recovering from injury. It remains to be seen if he will play.

The Chippewas are looking to recover from a 19-6 loss to Arizona last week. The team only compiled 182 yards of total offense and will look to turn that around today. Central Michigan’s defense allowed 448 total yards but did only surrender 19 points — four field goals and a touchdown.

Obviously, MSU will have to contain Chippewas quarterback Dan LeFevour. He has the ability to take over a game. MSU’s defense will have to play sound positionally and not allow LeFevour to break off big runs.

MSU leads the all-time series 4-2 and won the last meeting 24-7 in 2004.

Game time is set for noon and the game will be broadcast on ESPN2.
