More from Dantonio
Here are more comments from MSU head football coach Mark Dantonio’s year-end press conference on Monday:
Early enrollment
Dantonio announced that four incoming freshmen have enrolled in spring classes and will join the team when spring practice begins.
Quarterback Joe Boisture, running backs Nick Hill and Leveon Bell and linebacker Max Bullough have enrolled this semester.
“Those four players will give us an additional number of people to compete this spring and that will be exciting to see them out there,” Dantonio said.
Nichol news
Dantonio also said that sophomore quarterback Keith Nichol may have found a home at wide receiver, saying the quarterback position is squared away.
Quotable
“The glass is half-full, it’s not half empty. We’re building a foundation here,” Dantonio said. “When expectations become such that we’re expected to go to a New Year’s Day bowl game, we’ve succeeded in some respect and we’re progressing. The bottom line is we’re building a foundation here and sometimes you step forward and sometimes you step back, but we didn’t fall off the mountain, we didn’t fall off that plateau. We continued to maintain.”
