Swenson totals 7 points in Senior Bowl
Former MSU kicker Brett Swenson scored seven points in the Under Armour Senior Bowl on Saturday, kicking a 43-yard field goal and hitting all four of his extra point attempts as his North team defeated the South team 31-13.
It was Swenson’s last opportunity to impress NFL scouts in a game situation before the NFL Draft in April.
The Pompano Beach, Fla., native finished his four-year career at MSU as the school’s all-time leader in scoring (377 points), field goals made (71) and extra points made (164).
He was named MSU’s most valuable player this past fall, becoming the first placekicker to win the award.

Swenson is awesome. He’s got a strong leg, and great accuracy. He’ll definitely get drafted by someone. And whoever that is, they’ll have themselves a heck of a kicker.
Go Swenson!

Having grown up with Jason Hanson as the most dependable player on the home NFL team, I have a great appreciation for kickers, and Swenson has earned every bit of praise he gets. Here’s hoping for a fulfilling NFL career!
