White has game-high 7 catches in Saturday’s East-West Shrine game
Former MSU wide receiver Blair White had a game-high seven catches for 93 yards Saturday in the East-West Shrine game in Orlando, Fla.
White’s seven catches were three more than anyone else. Other wide receivers participating were Bowling Green’s Freddie Barnes, West Virginia’s Alric Arnett and Buffalo’s Naaman Roosevelt.
White led the Spartans in receptions (70), receiving yards (990) and touchdown catches (nine) this past season.
For his effort, White was named First-Team All-Big Ten by the coaches. He also was named an academic
All-American for his 3.89 grade-point average in human biology.

Best of luck as he decides whether to go on to advanced schooling or if he’s got a shot at the NFL. Nice to see a good story about one of our Spartans who does well both on and off the field rather than all the negative stuff.

There must be an NFL team that has a spot for White-he is too good not to get drafted. Although, sounds like he has a great future either direction he goes – NFL or grad school. What a great idol and representative of MSU! Congrats Blair!
