MSU landed its first verbal commitment for its 2011 recruiting class Thursday in Lansing Sexton running back Onaje Miller, according to recruiting Web site Rivals.com.

The 5-foot-11, 190-pound junior verbally committed to MSU after receiving offers from Michigan, Wisconsin, Central Michigan and Eastern Michigan.

Miller, who earned all-state honors this past season, had 1,758 yards on 216 carries and 26 rushing touchdowns, while also adding seven touchowns as a kickoff and punt returner.
