LeBron James sends mom to a sideline time-out

It’s been seen and talked about all over TV and radio.

While Paul Pierce and the Boston Celtics were trying to catch up against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers during Game Four of the Eastern Conference semifinals Monday night, a foul ensued.

But this was no ordinary foul. Pierce flagrantly wrapped his arms around James like a koala bear in an effort to prevent an easy bucket. Needless to say, Pierce couldn’t have been more of a punk about it.

But what came next was even worse. As Cleveland’s crowd reacted to the play off the court, James’ mother, Gloria, gave an earful to one of the Celtics from her courtside seat.

It was so bad that James actually parted his lips to tell his momma to go sit her ass down.

When he said that, my heart stopped immediately, as I recreated the scene in my head, imagining that my mother and I swapped positions with LeBron and Gloria.

Only the ending was different, because I would have been laid out on the foul line like Suge Knight outside the club last weekend. Not to mention every other mother I know would have given me a royal tongue-lashing.

My mother would never be cool with her own son chastising her like a naughty 5-year-old on national TV, even omitting the profanity. I don’t know many that would.

I understand it’s easy to be confused when your mom looks more like your older sister, but that was just disrespectful.

Mother’s Day was only a few days ago. I guess when you shell out millions of bucks for your mom, you’re allowed to curse her out occasionally.

it’s pretty unfair to say that to lebron. it was a spur of the moment decision and he didn’t really have much time to think about what he was going to say. also, for some people the word “ass” isn’t really a profanity at all, so you can’t really judge him with what he said in that situation.

Ya know?...if yo “momma” is showing her ass in public and her comments could cost you major embarrassment along with a hefty fine?...I think LeBron had every right to put her in check..uhhh?... there are cameras….it’s only the NBA on TNT...Now..had she been sipping on the yack?...It’s one thing to be an overzealous parent but D-A-M-*!
LeBron probably was humiliated….So, is he supposed to keep one eye on the game and the other on his momma? H-E-* * Noooo…I would’ve lost my cool too…

Yes, if you multiply your mom’s income by a factor of 10, and she’s embarrassing you, you do get to tell her to sit her ass down, especially when she’s acting like your younger sister.
