I don8217t like the way Abby Lubbers adds insult to injury in the police blurb Police Woman attacked near Hubbard Hall SN 1124 by indirectly placing the blame on the survivor of the attack. Reminding readers to plan where to run in case of an attack or to look around the bushes seems to insinuate that this woman obviously failed to form an escape plan ahead of time or to look for villains who might be lurking in bushes. -
Consequences of brawls more severe than students realize

I recently read Jacob Carpenter and Abby Lubbers8217 article MSU athlete injured after weekend fight SN 1022 and Joe Rexrode8217s article 8220Police probe E. Lansing fight8221 in the Lansing State Journal. I was compelled to respond to both articles because three years ago on Oct. 21 2005 my 21-year-old cousin died from one punch. -
