ELPD apprehends suspect in local explosions

The East Lansing Police Department has identified a suspect for at least two of the five explosions that occurred during the summer months. Police said they identified a 20-year-old male MSU student from Linden Mich. who might have been responsible for two of the recent series of explosions. On May 25 the first explosion at the intersection of Grove and Elizabeth streets was reported. -
Avid hockey fans hit E.L. bars for series

Michael Tonner waited all his life to go to Joe Louis Arena. A bartender at Crunchys 254 W. Grand River Ave. for the past two years Tonner had seen fans clad in red and white file through the bar doors every playoff season. Finally Tonner was headed to Hockeytowns sanctuary for the first game of the Western Conference Finals against the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday.
