Police deem Cedar Fest a riot

Police estimate between 3,000 and 4,000 people from MSU and other areas crowded into the 200 block of Cedar Street for the event.

East Lansing police Chief Tom Wibert said the decision to fire munitions was made after repeated loudspeaker commands urging the crowd to disperse were ignored.
